Wine, Women & Shoes for AHCF
If you follow me on social media at Instagram, Twitter, or Facebook, then you would of seen my post that I was attending Wine, Women & Shoes (WW&S) last Saturday night. This was the first time I have been to WW&S and holy moly, I had an absolute ball. The event I attended was to raise money for AHCF (Alternating Hemiplegia of Childhood). To learn more about this disease and how you can help, head to http://ahckids.org. I was so privileged to be able to support and donate to such an incredible organization.
AHCF (The Egan family and their community to be exact) produced this amazing event with the signature of Wine Women and Shoes. AHCF partnered with WW&S in the hope that the name "Wine Women and Shoes" would help their rare disease reach more people. They are a very small foundation with approximately 400 AHC patients in the U.S., and 800 worldwide. The disease is often misdiagnosed as seizures so the probability is more like 8000.
The view from where I was sitting, first row in front of the catwalk. Best seat in the house in my opinion!
Macy's put on a show of what fun trends to look for this season. This show was amazing. I loved all the outfits and all the models were authentic and real Moms and women, just like you and me.
We were gifted some GREAT swag ($450 worth to be exact) so here is my friend Keiran showing you how excited we were. The vibe in the room was so electric, so supportive, so loving. It was like being in an Oprah audience. Sorry men, but sometimes I feel like if we could of harnessed that energy in the room by all these women, we could solve world peace, hunger and the global financial crisis.
I chased this woman down the equestrian field and just had to ask her if I could take her picture. I really hope I am rocking it and having as much fun with fashion and style as she is at her age! You go girl! (I think she is maybe still wondering why this crazy blonde Aussie girl approached her for a picture - i gave her my card so I hoped that explained it all).

Jump(suit)ing for joy !
I have hit three trends for SS15 in this post. Those being - tribal print, jumpsuits and fringe accessories!
I am a mama on a budget, a lot like everyone else, and I love to look for fun outfits that won't break the bank but will let me shake up my style and play around with fashion trends.
Jumpsuits were huge last Spring/Summer and I am thrilled to see them back again. This time you will see them strapless and in more daring prints, like floral and in bell bottoms. I read a wonderful post recently by a fabulous blog I follow called AskSuzanneBell www.asksuzannebell.com. For a link to this post, click HERE where you can read about different ways she has styled jumpsuits including different shoes to wear!
I love the design of this jumpsuit. The cinched waist is my favorite part as I like how it pulls me in at all the correct places for delicious juicy pear shapes. This jumpsuit is so comfortable, I want to wear it to bed!

The only burst of color on this little number is the bright red lipstick I so adore! Marshalls is a fabulous place to hunt for designer labels at ah-mazing prices. By pairing my Marshall's buy with some items from my own wardrobe (chandelier earrings and wedges), I got this fabulousness for $65! Yes, $65!
Jumpsuit $30 // Fringed Cross Body Bag $35
Jumpsuit $30 // Fringed Cross Body Bag $35

Fringed cross body bag // $35 // Marshalls
LOOK! Pockets. It's the simple things that can make an outfit awesome. The tribal print is a SS15 trend. For more on YummoMummo's 2015 trend suggestions, click HERE
Besides the fabulously fringed bag, might I suggest switching things up a bit with a black felt hat or some fun cheetah sunglasses to add some more fabric/pattern to the mix. FUN!
Black felt hat // Fall purchase at H&M // $25
Cheetah print sunglasses // Payless shoes // $8

YummoMummo meets GeorgieWear x
My latest collaboration is with casual wear start-up label, Georgie Wear (www.georgiewear.com). Based in Texas, it was founded by Danielle Hatch & Meikel Reece - lifelong friends and athletes. Georgie Wear was inspired by their desire to bridge the divide between active wear and casual wear. They wanted to create athletic inspired pieces that can take you quickly from your workout to the rest of your day without wasting time or sacrificing style. Now, YummoMummo is by no means athletic or athletically built, but I do have an appreciation for clothes that will take you on the run - stylishly. And if you would like to get your hands on any of Georgie wear items, read below for a discount for YummoMummo readers. You'll see I have styled the Purple Uptown Dress three different ways for added inspiration.
Purple Uptown Dress / $125
- Knee Length Sports Dress
- Long Sleeve
- Available in Black or Charcoal with Black Stitching Detail
- 92% Poly, 8% Spandex with Antibacterial and Moisture Wicking Properties
- Machine Wash Cold, Line Dry
- Made in the USA
I interviewed Co-founder Danielle to get to know Georgie wear a bit more. Here is what she had to say.
1. How was Georgie wear born?
We began getting back into shape after giving birth and both found ourselves wearing yoga pants or running shorts for much of the day. We loved the fit and the feel of the athletic fabrics but didn't love the nagging feeling that we looked a little too causal. Georgie began from our desire to take the things we love about activewear (the fit and the fabrics) and create stylish and feminine post workout clothes.
2. What is your best piece of style advice?
It's essential to feel comfortable in what you're wearing and to wear what makes you feel good, beyond that it's anything goes. I love this quote from Simon Doonan, "Conformity is the only real fashion crime. To not dress like yourself and to sublimate your spirit to some kind of group identity is succumbing to fashion fascism".
3. Tell me three things about yourself my readers might like to know?
4. Who is Georgie wear aimed at?
Our clothes are for lifelong athletes, women who prioritize the functionality of their clothes as much as the style.

Celebrating women!
Sunday, March 8th was International Women's Day so it was only fitting that I spent the afternoon at an event where the stars of the show were two start up's run by incredibly talented women - the women of Phiren and the women of Bfab. I live in the Silicon Valley, the start up capital of the world. And I just LOVE to show my support for up and coming brands.
Our lovely hostess, Hillary Frank, wearing the Hillary tunic. Doesn't she look fab in it? I love it paired with white jeans, the red embellishment just POPS.
Feel like being social with Phiren?
I do hope you enjoyed reading about how I spent a very important day for women. I couldn't have thought of a better way to spend it than with amazing, strong, intelligent and entrepreneurial women. I am so proud to be a woman!
Photo credits to Chami Lerner. And a special shout out to the wonderful hostess of the afternoon, Hillary Frank for opening up her beautiful home for the event.
Meet
Anita Rehman (CEO) wears the Renee tunic and Teresa Field (Design Director and Co-Founder) wears the Hillary dress - available for pre-order (email support@phiren.com)
PHIREN (pronounced \FEE-ren\) (www.phiren.com) delivers superior fitting designer apparel for women. The company founders wanted to do something really simple: create clothing that enabled as many women as possible to look and feel beautiful.
They were frustrated by the lack of well-made, on-trend clothing that truly fit the bodies of modern American women. So, they worked meticulously to recalibrate the fit process currently used in the industry and have designed and manufactured a line of luxurious everyday essentials available in sizes 2-24.
By designing in-house, bypassing traditional channels and engaging with their customers directly, they were able to offer expensive design, luxurious fabrics and couture-level embellishment at great value.
Most importantly they are proud to be a startup for women by women. Their mission: to enable as many women as possible to wear what they love and to use it to showcase their independence, uniqueness and intelligence.
Models Aashna wearing the Jane Tunic & Niki wears the Sophia Tunic. Both in a luxurious sponged silk. I love the 3/4 diagonal sleeve design. So unique and flattering.
